Reena Freedman, Alto My name actually translates as "joyous song" in several languages, so I guess it's fitting that I've been singing on stage since I was ten. My love for a cappella began in college with the Bryn Mawr-Haverford Extreme Keys and and it only grew in graduate school with the University of Maryland Faux Paz. Music and life have taken me around the world and back, and it continues to be a great ride with Similar Jones. During my time in Boston, I've also sung with Downtown Crossing and The Elements. The a cappella scene is so very incestuous, don't you know? My alter ego is a straight-laced math and music teacher at Gann Academy. Surprised? C'mon - music is just a graph of pitch versus time, folks! I've got a great partner (Dan), daughter (Rose), and love living in the People's Republic of Cambridge.
